Today I was interviewed on 4ZZZ as part of their news program. I spoke about the problems surrounding a golf course, conference centre and housing estate proposed for 125 ha of Brisbane City Council owned bushland at Cannon Hill.
I spoke in my capacity as Secretary of Bayside Branch of the Queensland Greens, but they kind of failed to mention that bit. That said, nothing wrong with speaking simply as an activist I guess.
From past radio interviews I discovered it’s important to be well-researched and well-prepared, so I was pretty happy to take part. It’s great experience to be interviewed and speak on air in the pressure-free environment that the station provides.
A friend of mine who heard the interview said I sounded comfortable and confident. Naturally I thought I sounded like a bit of a schmuck (which is fairly common when hearing yourself played back).
I will post more here later on the Minnippi issue itself.
Peace, out.
