Zietta and the Little Larrikins - Happy

Exciting news!

I’m absolutely thrilled to share that I’ve been awarded an RADF Creative Cities Grant from the City of Moreton Bay to support the development of Zietta and the Little Larrikins—a touring musical stage show for theatres featuring live puppetry, original songs, and colourful characters.

This funding will help bring the show to life through set building, puppet construction, and the creation of original music. The story is close to my heart, shining a light on my Sicilian heritage—Zietta means “the fun Aunty” in Italian!

Zietta and the Little Larrikins is a joyful, funny, high-energy theatre experience for children aged 5–9. I’ll be performing as Zietta and also puppeteering alongside my husband Brett, as we bring our signature brand of playful chaos to life. Together, we’ll explore big ideas from the Humanities, Arts, and Social Sciences in a fun, musical, and utterly larrikin way.

I’m over the moon to be developing this special production and can’t wait to launch it and take it on the road with Brendan Shipley Productions and Larrikin Puppets!!

Zietta and the Little Larrikins is being made possible through the RADF Creative Cities Grant. The Regional Arts Development Fund is a partnership between the Queensland Government and City of Moreton Bay to support local arts and culture in regional Queensland.

Huge thank you to City of Moreton Bay and Arts Queensland/Queensland Government for supporting original new theatre works and my arts practice!
